Maintenance Technician / Floating Maintenance Technician (Portland Metro)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician (floating) to support nine residential communities across the Portland Metro area, from Portland to Salem. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with occasional on‑call duties, and offers a 40 % rent discount at Greystar properties.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform repairs, including appliance troubleshooting.
• Prepare apartments for new move‑ins through the “make‑ready” process.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of building exteriors, parking areas, and common amenities.
• Assist with vendor coordination and manage routine maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential or commercial maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Safe use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment repair.
• Painting, entry‑level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
