Maintenance Technician – Inspire Downtown

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for Inspire Downtown ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. You will respond to resident service requests, perform preventative maintenance and prepare vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Experience performing technical and mechanical work in a residential or commercial property setting.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.
• Willingness to work on‑site, handle physical tasks and collaborate with vendors and contractors.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of building systems and mechanical repairs.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and pressure‑washing equipment.
• Inventory tracking and basic record‑keeping abilities.
