Make-Ready Technician

About the role

The Make‑Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartment units for new residents, ensuring each home meets Greystar’s quality standards before re‑leasing. Working on‑site at the Mezzo Kirby Med Center in Houston, the technician performs a range of technical and mechanical tasks to turn units into market‑ready conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the community’s make‑ready checklist to complete all repairs and improvements prior to resident move‑in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as required.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under the direction of the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Assist with maintaining grounds, common areas and amenities, including trash collection and pressure‑washing.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to perform both interior unit work and exterior grounds upkeep.
• Capability to work independently while coordinating with supervisors and community managers.
