About the role

Amentum is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic I who performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. The work requires practical skill and knowledge of trades such as painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and masonry.

Key responsibilities

  • Replace motors
  • Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings with plaster or compound
  • Repair or replace sinks, water coolers and toilets
  • Paint structures and equipment
  • Repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks
  • Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles
  • Hang doors and install door locks
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years of general maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and write at a level sufficient for the job
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • TS/SCI clearance with CIP

Required skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
