Leasing Professional – 1000 West Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to manage the leasing, marketing and resident retention for the 1000 West garden‑style community in Charleston. The role involves guiding prospects through the leasing process, ensuring smooth move‑ins and supporting resident renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents, conduct tours, and showcase available apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, prepare lease documents and coordinate move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before occupancy, confirm move‑in readiness and coordinate any maintenance needs.
• Monitor local market trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community concessions to drive occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record prospect activity and maintain resident data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leasing or property management within a residential community.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with prospects and residents.
• Ability to work the scheduled hours of Monday‑Friday 9 am‑6 pm with rotating weekends.
