Maintenance Technician – 10 WestEdge

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its 10 WestEdge high‑rise property in Charleston. The role ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with preventative maintenance in a residential or commercial setting.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders, inventory and documentation.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
