IT Technical Staff

About the role

The IT Technical Staff provides onboard support and maintenance for all company IT assets, applications, software, and hardware under the supervision of the Assistant Systems Manager and Systems Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform computer operations according to shipboard IT Run Books and document all system changes for SOX and IT audit compliance.
• Provide 24/7 support for critical issues impacting revenue, guest satisfaction, or ship operation.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and ensure equipment readiness.
• Assist users with company-specific applications, Property Management Systems, and POS terminals.
• Support cybersecurity incident monitoring and respond to policy violations.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience troubleshooting IT hardware and software.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and crew conduct policies.
• Ability to work 7 days a week in close quarters aboard a vessel.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems and Active Directory administration.
• TCP/IP networking concepts and wired/wireless troubleshooting.
• Mobile device management (tablets, PDAs, smartphones).
• Microsoft Office suite, HMS, and POS applications.
• Virtualization, imaging, and patch management.
• Experience with Linux, Android, and Apple operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco and VMware technologies.
