Interventional Radiology Technologist II – Weekend

About the role

The Interventional Radiology Technologist II works weekends in a fast‑paced IR suite, providing sterile diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, administering contrast agents, and supporting physicians under fluoroscopy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sterile diagnostic, radiographic, embolic and therapeutic IR procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast agents according to protocol.
• Assist physicians as a scrub assistant, maintaining sterile technique.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment and ensure proper patient positioning.
• Document procedure details, including fluoro time, radiation dose, and estimated blood loss.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and handle post‑procedure patient care.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma in Radiology with at least 2 years general diagnostic radiology experience.
• Minimum 1 year interventional radiology experience.
• Registered Technologist (RT) in Pennsylvania and ARRT certification upon hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift 40‑50 lb, stand for long periods, and work in stressful situations.

• Contrast administration and fluoroscopy operation.
• Radiographic imaging acquisition and processing.
• Equipment setup, troubleshooting, and coordination with Clinical Engineering.
