HVAC Engineer

About the role

Amentum is recruiting an HVAC Engineer to support facility maintenance operations at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. The role covers facilities engineering assignments in planning and research, design, operations and maintenance of HVAC equipment, and detailed facilities documentation support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision.
• Coordinate and assist in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Assist in generating specifications and engineering data for HVAC equipment.
• Assist in preparing reports and correspondence.
• Establish and maintain filing systems or databases to track project status.
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to meet requirements and specifications.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific field, and 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
• The position may require travel and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
