Head of Applied AI Architects – Beneficial Deployments

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a global leader to head its Applied AI Architects team focused on beneficial deployments for non‑profits and higher‑education institutions. The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to turn cutting‑edge AI into tangible impact across education, global health, economic mobility, and life sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a globally distributed team of Applied AI Architects serving mission‑driven organizations.
• Define vision, strategy, and operating model for AI deployments from discovery through ecosystem‑wide implementation.
• Establish hiring plans, team structure, and career development pathways as the team scales worldwide.
• Partner with senior leaders across segments to shape high‑impact engagements and ensure responsible integration of Claude.
• Design cohort‑based accelerators, Claude code‑enablement programs, and other scalable mechanisms to multiply impact.
• Identify cross‑partner patterns to inform ecosystem‑level tools, evaluations, and shared infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface partner needs and drive safe, effective AI solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical teams in a globally distributed environment.
• Strong judgment for operating across diverse sectors, regions, and partner types.
• Ability to set strategic vision and translate it into actionable processes.
• Excellent communication skills for senior stakeholder engagement.
