Employment Attorney – Remote (US, excluding CA, NY, IL, WA)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced employment attorney to join our nationally focused practice serving employer clients on complex workplace matters. Based in Herndon, Virginia, the position operates in a fully remote, collaborative environment and emphasizes sound judgment, responsiveness, and high‑quality legal analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Advise employer clients on a broad range of employment law issues, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Draft persuasive motions, memoranda, and other court filings to support case strategy.
• Manage written discovery, document review, and fact development throughout litigation.
• Support employment litigation from early assessment through resolution, including case analysis, briefing, and client coordination.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff in a remote practice setting.
• Communicate case developments, recommended approaches, and potential outcomes clearly to clients.
• Maintain organized case handling and timely work product in line with firm quality standards.

Required profile

• Active license to practice law in the state of residence (excluding CA, NY, IL, WA).
• Minimum three years of experience handling employment law matters for employers.
• Proven ability to draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Practical experience managing discovery and supporting employment litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a team.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and client‑focused approach.
