About the role
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer I supports the planning, scheduling and execution of full‑life‑cycle commissioning for critical facilities. Working under direct supervision, the engineer participates in MEP design reviews, testing and operation of electrical and mechanical systems.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing commissioning plans, schedules and load‑bank strategies.
- Review shop drawings, submittals and engineering designs under supervision.
- Develop and execute MEP test and operating procedures.
- Witness or perform static and dynamic testing of chiller plants, UPS, switchgear, ATS switches and other equipment.
- Conduct site surveys, prepare field reports and daily issue logs.
- Support the project manager with task execution and documentation.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent education.
- Valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E certifications (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, safety rules and procedure manuals.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Deltek project software.
- Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Use of electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of MEP systems and load‑bank planning.
