About the role
The Corrections Treatment Officer supervises individuals in custody, ensures they receive appropriate medical services, and supports specialized treatment programs within the Joliet Treatment Center.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and observe individuals in custody, reporting behavior to professional team members.
- Transport and supervise movement of individuals to and from facilities, courts, and hospitals.
- Maintain assigned areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
- Provide translation of functions/procedures into Spanish for non‑English speakers.
Required profile
- Successful completion of the Corrections Treatment Officer Training Program.
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass IDOC/IDJJ background check and drug screening.
Preferred qualifications
- Working knowledge of behavioral problems and interventions.
- Understanding of mental illness or developmental disability treatment.
