About the role
The Correctional Shift Supervisor serves as a supervisor in IDOC facilities, responsible for custody, control, and safety of the facility. The role involves managing staff and individuals in custody to ensure effective operations.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise correctional staff during assigned shift hours.
- Maintain safety and security of the facility, staff, and inmates.
- Address and resolve issues and concerns raised by staff or inmates.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Required profile
- Must meet minimum qualifications for IDOC supervisory positions.
- Ability to manage staff, handle conflict, and facilitate smooth facility operations.
