Construction Safety Intern

About the role

The Construction Safety Intern will work closely with construction safety professionals and project management staff to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures across various nationwide sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of CREW360 safety initiative under the Project Safety Manager.
• Identify and report safety violations or unsafe practices that pose imminent danger.
• Support safety committees, pre‑planning meetings and toolbox meetings with craft employees.
• Help conduct project safety orientations for new hires and deliver training on topics such as fall protection, silica awareness, and heat illness prevention.
• Review subcontractor safety programs and Job Hazard Analyses to ensure compliance with company and JV policies.
• Participate in jobsite inspections, incident investigations and maintain safety records, including JHAs, training logs and incident reports.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Completed or enrolled in courses such as Accident Investigation, Risk Management or Liability.
• Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with the CREW360 safety initiative software.
