Construction Management Internship – Field Engineer

About the role

The Field Engineer Intern works closely with field engineers and project management staff to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. The position is based at various locations nationwide and provides hands‑on experience in construction management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with field engineers to plan and direct project activities, maintaining accountability for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain records of job progress, costs, material usage, and other project data.
• Assist in detailed planning, scheduling, and estimating, including quantity take‑offs.
• Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
• Support submittals, RFIs, and change orders, and work with suppliers to expedite material delivery.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents.
• Strong written communication skills for preparing presentations and reports.

Required skills

• Computer‑aided design (CAD) software proficiency.
