Chemical Operator C – Mauldin, SC

About the role

BASF is seeking a Chemical Operator C to join its Care Chemicals team in Mauldin, South Carolina. You will work 12‑hour rotating shifts, supporting batch production of chemicals used in cosmetics, detergents, cleaning, technical applications and crop protection.

Key responsibilities

• Weigh and charge raw materials, handling acids and caustics.
• Operate the DCS (Distributed Control System) for batch manufacturing.
• Unload raw materials from tankers, railcars and ISO containers to vessels and tanks.
• Transfer finished products to storage tanks and other containers.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and perform housekeeping tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate’s degree from a technical or community college is a plus.
• Previous experience with chemicals is strongly preferred.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts.
