Body Controls & Test Engineer

About the role

The Body Controls & Test Engineer will join the Body‑Controls Integration Team to integrate and validate software for vehicle body functions such as lighting, cabin closures, storage and comfort systems across multiple programs.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate software components into vehicle systems, supporting bench, in‑vehicle and compatibility testing.
• Create test plans and execute integration testing for body and lighting features, including Unit, SIL, HiL and vehicle tests.
• Maintain test assets (Body‑Bucks, HiL rigs, vehicle test benches) and ensure they are up‑to‑date for merge‑request testing.
• Triage bugs, lead root‑cause analysis across hardware, electrical and software domains, and prioritize issues for resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and program partners to align on defect priorities and keep milestones on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 2+ years experience with automotive control systems and software integration.
• Experience with requirements, task and source‑control systems (e.g., JIRA, Git).
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAN/LIN/Ethernet analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape.
• Understanding of embedded hardware and software design.
• Hands‑on testing and debugging of automotive software.
• Experience creating test cases for Unit, SIL, HiL and vehicle environments.
