Staff Systems Engineer – Energy Management

About the role

Join the Energy Management Systems Engineering team to architect, design, and implement high‑voltage and low‑voltage energy systems for electric vehicles. You will work cross‑functionally to deliver innovative features that enhance vehicle performance and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead definition and decomposition of low‑voltage systems, creating user stories, system definitions, and functional requirements.
• Drive implementation of low‑voltage power systems from concept through public release.
• Support vehicle architecture development via trade studies, proofs of concept, and strategic analysis.
• Develop and document requirements from feature level down to component level.
• Define test requirements for 12 V battery and low‑voltage system characterization.
• Participate in board bring‑up, HIL testing, validation testing, and other integration activities.
• Coordinate system delivery timing to meet milestones and requirements.
• Develop comprehensive DVP&R plans and execute validation tests at SIL, HIL, component, and vehicle levels.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience with requirement management for safety‑critical systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced development environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self‑motivated with proven ability to set direction and guide a team.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage (LV) system design and LV battery knowledge.
• High‑voltage (HV) vehicle system experience (preferred).
• Embedded systems development and integration.
• Controls validation across SIL, HIL, component, and vehicle test levels.
• Requirement management processes for safety‑critical applications.
