Bariatric and Obesity Medicine Physician

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible physician to join its busy outpatient bariatric medicine practice. The role involves delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to patients seeking weight‑loss solutions, both in‑person and via virtual visits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide coordinated care with dietitians, behavioral health therapists, nurse practitioners and exercise physiologists.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include lab evaluation, tailored goals, meal‑replacement programs and medication management.
• Maintain a supportive office environment that helps patients overcome barriers to weight loss.
• Participate in teaching activities for medical students and residents.
• Offer both in‑person and virtual consultations without holiday or call duties.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Obesity Medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
• Prior experience practicing obesity medicine is preferred.

Required skills

• Obesity Medicine expertise.
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
