Associate Director, Innovation Philanthropy

About the role

The International Rescue Committee’s Airbel Impact Lab is seeking an Associate Director of Innovation Philanthropy to expand and deepen its network of high‑net‑worth donors, family offices, and foundations focused on technology‑driven humanitarian solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors ranging from $100K to $2.5M+
• Own the full lifecycle of philanthropic partnerships, from prospect research to post‑gift engagement
• Collaborate with research, program, and communications teams to align donor interests with impact initiatives
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies that leverage innovation ecosystems such as Silicon Valley
• Track and report on fundraising metrics to meet a $10M+ annual philanthropic goal

Required profile

• Proven track record of securing major gifts from high‑net‑worth individuals or family foundations
• Exceptional relationship‑building and networking abilities within tech‑focused communities
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably in humanitarian or innovation sectors
