Area Manager – Transportation Office

About the role

Walmart is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead its Transportation Office in the United States. In this role you will oversee a dynamic team, drive efficiency across logistics operations, and ensure the safe, on‑time delivery of goods throughout the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal associates.
• Implement the business plan for the area by setting goals, managing staffing, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
• Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to monitor productivity and drive improvements.
• Ensure associates are trained on logistics procedures and company policies, and maintain compliance documentation.
• Address concerns from associates, customers, and suppliers, providing recommendations and solutions.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate team members, participating in hiring, promotions, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance with service shops and local offices to guarantee availability.
