Principal Agentic Engineer (Remote, USA)

About the role

FullStack is seeking a Principal Agentic Engineer to lead AI‑augmented engineering initiatives for Fortune 500 and regulated‑industry clients. This remote, client‑facing position blends deep technical expertise with strategic consulting to define and implement agentic workflows at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and drive adoption of agentic solutions across large, multi‑file systems.
• Serve as technical lead and strategic consultant for senior engineering leadership (CTOs, VPs of Engineering).
• Defend architectural decisions, advise on best practices, and measure productivity ROI (cycle time, lead time).
• Design development processes where AI tools generate the majority of code while ensuring rigorous human‑in‑the‑loop validation.
• Structure codebases and specifications to produce reliable, context‑efficient AI output.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of full‑stack architectures (Java, Python, C#, React, Node, React Native, etc.).
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Principal Engineer, capable of assessing current engineering states and defining roadmaps.
• Fluency with agentic tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams on large, complex systems.
• Strong attention to detail, extreme ownership, and a positive, can‑do attitude.
