About the role
The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to support its established rice breeding program. The candidate will work closely with the senior rice breeder to develop new rice varieties and herbicide technologies for Arkansas and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the senior breeder in applying genomic selection and prediction methods.
- Conduct high‑throughput phenotyping experiments and data analysis.
- Integrate artificial intelligence tools into breeding pipelines.
- Manage germplasm collections and coordinate field trials.
- Prepare technical reports and contribute to scientific publications.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Plant Science, Genetics, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Strong interest in rice genetics and breeding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
