County Extension Agent - 4-H

About the role

The County Extension Agent – 4-H delivers community‑based educational programs that empower youth, families, and the broader community in the areas of 4‑H and youth development. This role works closely with volunteers and local partners to foster participation and support throughout Jefferson County.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement practical, hands‑on 4‑H educational activities for youth and families.
• Engage and coordinate local volunteers to support program delivery.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the county’s social, economic, and political landscape.
• Serve as a liaison between the university extension service, community leaders, agencies, and local government.
• Stay current on Arkansas Extension programs and integrate them into county initiatives.
• Collaborate with county staff and other extension agents to achieve program goals.
