Maintenance Technician for Hudson House

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the Hudson House property in Jersey City remains safe, functional, and well‑maintained. This role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks across the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendors or contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and coordinating with external vendors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and lift equipment safely.
