About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital and gain hands‑on experience supporting inpatient pharmacy operations while developing clinical pharmacy skills. First‑year interns rotate through core pharmacy stations such as the medication carousel and IV room, receiving training comparable to pharmacy technicians.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assess medication orders to identify and resolve drug‑related issues.
- Recommend formulary alternatives and provide drug information to medical staff and patients.
- Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.
- Communicate with physicians and clinicians to facilitate patient care.
Required profile
- Enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy program meeting Ohio intern license requirements.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before hire.
- Physical ability to stand, reach, stretch and sit for prolonged periods with sufficient manual dexterity.
