RN HOPS – Cardiology

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiology department at Medina Hospital provides direct patient care throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic journey. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports patients and families while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, including assessments, documentation, and medication administration.
• Perform telephone triage, manage call rotations, and coordinate discharge planning with patients, families, and the health‑care team.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post‑procedure care, and health‑promotion topics.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ALS certification obtained at hire or within six months.
• At least one year of recent RN experience or two years of LPN experience in a similar procedural department.

Required skills
