Food Service Worker / Kitchen Aide

About the role

The Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide assists the Cook in preparing and serving meals, ensuring quality food service and maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver food trays according to tray tickets and established policies.
• Wash dishes and clean/sanitize the kitchen following health standards.
• Utilize protective gear, mix cleaning solutions safely, and report equipment or product issues promptly.
• Maintain punctuality, respond to paging system, and complete assigned cleaning tasks on schedule.
• Interact courteously with supervisors, co‑workers, residents, staff, and facility guests.

Required profile

• Positive attitude, able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; specialized food‑service training desirable.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lb, push/pull up to 50 lb, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Compliance with COVID‑19 vaccination policies and ability to work in the service area.

Required skills

• Current ServSafe certification as required by state/county law.
• Valid Food Handler’s card.
