Deputy Chief of Party II – Technical Lead for Integrated Health Services

About the role

The Deputy Chief of Party II will provide strategic technical oversight for the Continuity of Integrated Health Services (CIHS) project, a multi‑country initiative in Guinea, Liberia, Mali and Togo. Reporting to the Chief of Party, the incumbent will ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based interventions across malaria, MNCH, health‑systems strengthening, disease surveillance and transition to country ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of an integrated technical strategy covering malaria, MNCH, laboratory systems, disease surveillance, health information systems and supply chain strengthening.
• Supervise, mentor and assess a multidisciplinary team of technical advisors, fostering collaboration and staff well‑being.
• Manage technical risks, monitor evolving health priorities and ensure compliance with CRS safety, security and safeguarding policies.
• Coordinate with the Department of State, consortium partners and other stakeholders to align activities with donor priorities and host‑country strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, International Relations or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant management and technical experience, including at least 2 years managing multi‑country donor funds.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the health sector as evidenced by peer‑reviewed publications or conference presentations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience using web‑conferencing applications and information/budget management systems.
• Strong budget management capabilities.
