Behavioral Health Provider – Full‑time at Ohio Correctional Reception Center

About the role

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks two licensed Behavioral Health Providers to deliver mental health evaluations, crisis services, and clinical case management to incarcerated individuals at the Correction Reception Center in Orient, OH.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed mental health screenings, evaluations, suicide watch assessments, and both individual and group therapeutic interventions.
• Provide clinical direction to lower‑level staff, serve as treatment team coordinator, and manage a caseload of offenders, ensuring compliance with treatment plans.
• Complete psychosocial assessments, transfer and discharge summaries, and maintain thorough documentation of all contacts and progress notes.
• Collaborate with institutional staff, families, and community agencies to coordinate care and re‑entry referrals.

Required profile

• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio.
• Ability to deliver advanced clinical interventions within scope of practice and under supervision.
