About the role
The Department of Criminology and Political Science at Texas A&M University‑San Antonio seeks a part‑time adjunct instructor to teach Political Science courses beginning Fall 2026. Compensation is $3,000 per 3‑credit course.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate Political Science lectures and seminars on campus.
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
- Assess student work, assign grades, and provide feedback.
- Maintain office hours and support student learning.
- Adapt teaching schedule to daytime or evening classes as needed.
Required profile
- Master's degree in Political Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year of university‑level teaching experience.
- Ability to teach courses on campus.
- Preferred: three years of teaching experience, record of teaching excellence, or a doctoral degree.
