Testing Center Coordinator

About the role

The Testing Center Coordinator supports the Assistant Director of Testing in managing daily operations of the university’s Testing Center. Working full‑time on campus, the coordinator ensures a secure, efficient environment for institutional and national examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary test administrator and proctor for exams such as Pearson VUE, CLEP, TSIA, Certiport and other approved assessments.
• Maintain a constant on‑floor presence during testing sessions to verify examinee identity, enforce accommodations, and monitor security through camera systems and walk‑throughs.
• Coordinate daily testing schedules, staff coverage, and material preparation, including setup of technology, vendor software, and lockdown systems.
• Manage secure storage, inventory, and tracking of paper‑based and electronic testing materials in compliance with institutional and vendor policies.
• Document testing activity in institutional and vendor systems and communicate procedures to examinees, faculty, and external partners.
• Escalate complex issues to the Assistant Director and provide input on operational improvements.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability, typically Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, with occasional evenings, weekends, or peak‑period coverage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce testing policies consistently.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing schedules, staffing, and inventory.
• Effective communication with students, faculty, and external vendors.

Required skills

• Experience with Pearson VUE, CLEP, TSIA, and Certiport testing platforms.
• Familiarity with testing software, lockdown browsers, and camera monitoring systems.
• Ability to handle secure materials and maintain accurate inventory records.
