Adjunct Faculty – Political Science (Part‑time)

About the role

The Department of Criminology and Political Science at Texas A&M University‑San Antonio seeks a part‑time adjunct instructor to teach Political Science courses beginning Fall 2026. Compensation is $3,000 per 3‑credit course.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate Political Science lectures and seminars on campus.
• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Assess student work, assign grades, and provide feedback.
• Maintain office hours and support student learning.
• Adapt teaching schedule to daytime or evening classes as needed.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Political Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year of university‑level teaching experience.
• Ability to teach courses on campus.
• Preferred: three years of teaching experience, record of teaching excellence, or a doctoral degree.
