Agency Instructor II – Explosives & Safety Program

About the role

The Agency Instructor II will deliver the full curriculum of the Explosives & Safety Program (ESP) for Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. This full‑time, onsite position involves classroom teaching, outdoor range preparation, and hands‑on skills training.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare demolition and training ranges, ensuring all equipment and materials are ready.
• Deliver classroom instruction and practical exercises covering searching, detonation, storage, transportation, and first aid.
• Coordinate and schedule additional instructors to support course delivery.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback on student performance.
• Maintain compliance with ESP procedures, regulations, and safety standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (associate’s or bachelor’s degree considered with relevant experience).
• Five years of Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experience.
• Two years of adult education or training experience.
• Senior or Master EOD Technician certification.
• Valid driver’s license and passport (travel required).
