About the role
The Brand Guild is seeking a Vice President of Public Relations to lead its Consumer & Food Brands portfolio. Based in New York, this senior leadership position will shape brand narratives, drive cultural relevance, and deliver measurable business impact for a range of high‑profile consumer and food‑and‑beverage clients.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies for a diverse portfolio of food, beverage and consumer lifestyle brands.
- Serve as senior strategic counsel to C‑suite clients, shaping narratives, anticipating challenges and guiding long‑term planning.
- Build and maintain top‑tier media relationships across consumer, lifestyle, food, design, business and trade outlets.
- Oversee proactive media outreach, story mining, pitch strategy and the creation of breakthrough press moments.
- Concept and drive press‑worthy campaigns, partnerships and cultural brand moments.
- Analyze media performance, translate insights into strategic recommendations for future initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Events, Social and Creative teams to deliver integrated brand experiences.
- Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing PR team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability and results.

- Natural leader who inspires teams, builds trust with executive clients and elevates work across the board.
- Seasoned storyteller capable of identifying culturally resonant narratives and turning them into earned media.
- Creative partner who designs and delivers press‑worthy campaigns and cultural moments.
- Expert in overseeing PR strategy, message development, issues management and integrated campaign planning.
- Confident communicator and presenter who can shape points of view, lead meetings and advise C‑suite clients.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage a large portfolio with competing priorities.
- Team‑first mindset thriving in a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
