Communications Strategist – External, Employee & Executive Communications

About the role

Moody's Analytics is looking for a Communications Strategist to shape internal and external messaging, promote products, thought leadership, and executive visibility across global audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute communications initiatives that highlight Moody's Analytics products, research, and business priorities for employees, media, and key stakeholders.
• Develop key messages, Q&As, executive content, media materials, and prepare spokespersons for interviews.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, pitch story ideas, and respond to media inquiries, especially in the US market.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage to inform future communication strategies.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to translate priorities into compelling narratives.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years of experience in communications, public relations or journalism, preferably in an agency setting.
• Exceptional writing ability to turn complex technical topics into clear, credible narratives for diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills, detail‑orientation, and the capacity to manage competing demands under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, accountable, and able to work independently while escalating issues when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with artificial intelligence concepts and hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Experience with Copilot or similar AI‑assisted content creation platforms.
• Ability to plan and execute communications strategies across multiple channels.

• Base salary range $71,700 – $103,950 per year, plus incentive compensation.
