Vice President of Finance / Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Vice President of Finance / Controller to lead accounting operations and drive financial planning for a fast‑growing technology equipment company serving large enterprise clients. This senior leader will build the finance function, implement robust controls and support the upcoming audit.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting, including general ledger, AP/AR and financial reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies and procedures in line with GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and provide actionable insights.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Partner with senior leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial health.
• Support audits and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and banking partners.
• Build and scale financial infrastructure to accommodate rapid growth.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience as a Controller or VP‑level finance leader in a small to mid‑size company.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mentality with ability to operate strategically and tactically.
• CPA certification is a plus.
