International Income Tax Advisor / Lead Tax Advisor

About the role

Chevron is looking for a highly motivated International Income Tax Advisor/Lead Tax Advisor to join its International Tax Operations team. The role supports U.S. international income tax compliance, reporting, provision, and planning for Chevron’s global operations, working closely with Tax, Finance, and other cross‑functional groups.

Key responsibilities

• Support U.S. international tax compliance, including calculations for GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, E&P/PTEP pools, and foreign tax credits.
• Prepare, review, and document audit‑ready workpapers and U.S. international income tax filings.
• Assist with the international components of the ASC 740 income tax provision, including controls and account analyses.
• Support tax audits and controversy matters by gathering and analyzing documentation.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and other teams to understand global operations and deliver technically sound tax outcomes.
• Analyze U.S. international tax implications of transactions, restructurings, acquisitions, divestitures, and legislative changes.
• Monitor, research, and model the impact of enacted and proposed tax law changes.
• Identify and implement process, data, and system enhancements to improve compliance, reporting, automation, and audit readiness.
• Leverage AI‑enabled and other digital tools to streamline data gathering, analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments and external advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MST or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of corporate income tax experience with significant U.S. international tax compliance and reporting.
• Experience in a multinational corporate tax department or public accounting firm.
• Expertise in CorpTax and SAP highly desired; tax technology, data tools, and process automation experience is a plus.
