Vice President, Healthcare Investment Banking

About the role

Santander is seeking a Vice President to lead its Healthcare Investment Banking coverage in New York. The role combines execution of complex transactions with client relationship development and new‑business generation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of M&A, capital markets, and advisory transactions for healthcare clients.
• Manage day‑to‑day deal processes, ensuring milestones and timelines are met.
• Oversee development and quality control of financial models and client presentation materials.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout deal execution.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in collaboration with senior bankers.
• Mentor and guide Analysts and Associates.
• Travel as required by senior deal team members or clients.

Required profile

• Proven transaction execution experience, preferably in healthcare investment banking.
• 6+ years of experience in finance or related sectors.
• Ability to assume senior deal execution responsibilities independently.
• Strong leadership and client‑prospecting acumen.
• Relevant certifications (SIE, Series 79, Series 63).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
