About the role
The Team Leader supports the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in delivering a Legendary Customer Experience while maintaining a safe, productive store environment. This position blends hands‑on operational duties with team coaching and customer service excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Store Manager with daily operational, sales, and merchandising goals.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, bank deposits, and store security.
- Perform basic, promotional, and seasonal merchandising activities and price changes.
- Organize workflow using the daily planner, assess store conditions, and assign duties to team members.
- Resolve customer complaints to ensure a Legendary shopping experience.
- Enforce loss‑prevention policies and respond to alarm calls.
- Communicate financial goals and job responsibilities to the team.
- Operate forklift and baler, sanitize poultry holding tanks, and care for birds as required.
- Document all activities and obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
Required profile
- Retail experience; experience in farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding is a plus.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Strong attendance record and commitment to a safe work environment.
- Ability to train and coach team members on policies and procedures.
