System Integration Engineer – Military Vehicles

About the role

We are seeking a System Integration Engineer to lead development projects for the build, verification and delivery of military vehicles. The position is based onsite in Sterling Heights, MI and operates under a long‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system integration activities for prototype and mock‑up vehicle builds, including schedule development and execution.
• Develop and maintain fabrication and build plans, initiate shop work orders, and coordinate with sub‑system engineers.
• Serve as primary interface between sub‑system engineering and the prototype shop, overseeing assembly of subsystems onto vehicles.
• Monitor Engineering Bill of Materials maturity, track material receipts, and generate Engineering Problem Reports.
• Assist with prototype hardware procurement and ensure compliance with safety and anthropometric requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience with ground combat or military vehicles is desired.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, climb on/off vehicles, and perform occasional evening or weekend overtime.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
