Social Media Manager – Food Media

About the role

The Social Media Manager will lead the growth and engagement of Bon Appétit and Epicurious across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and emerging platforms. Based in New York, the role works closely with the Director of Social Media and the editorial team to shape a compelling social strategy that reflects the brands’ food‑focused voice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies that increase audience reach and interaction on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and new platforms.
• Collaborate with editorial, video, and product teams to create and schedule content that aligns with brand storytelling.
• Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and iterate content approaches to optimize engagement.
• Manage day‑to‑day community interaction, including responding to comments and messages.
• Identify emerging social trends and platform opportunities to keep the brands at the forefront of food media.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media accounts for consumer‑facing brands.
• Strong passion for cooking, food culture and how they intersect with lifestyle and news.
• Ability to work in‑office four days a week in New York and collaborate across editorial and marketing teams.
