Regional Food Safety Manager

About the role

Chipotle is seeking a Regional Food Safety Manager to champion world‑class food safety across its restaurants in an assigned region. You will act as the subject‑matter expert, guiding teams through standards, audits, crisis response, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide food safety guidance and coaching to restaurant leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Plan and execute on‑site restaurant visits to assess compliance and embed best practices.
• Support new field leaders with onboarding, audit execution, and use of food safety tools.
• Lead response to food safety emergencies via the Safety Support Restaurant hotline, coordinating stakeholder engagement and resolution.
• Drive data‑driven compliance reporting, training programs, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Contribute to the development of national food safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Mentor teams to become food safety ambassadors through coaching and leading by example.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in General Science, Food Science & Technology, Human Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration.
• CP‑FS and REHS/RS certifications.
• Manager‑level ServSafe certification.
