Full-Time Guest Service Agent

About the role

Join the Embassy Suites Birmingham team as a Guest Service Agent and be the first friendly face guests see. You will ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences while delivering the warmth and professionalism that define Hilton hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, verify reservation details, assign rooms, issue keys and provide welcome materials or bell‑service assistance.
• Process departures by confirming charges, handling payments, issuing receipts and accurately using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities, room types, rates, promotions and local attractions to answer guest inquiries.
• Utilise up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize revenue.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, resolve concerns with care and manage communications efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; previous front‑desk or guest‑service experience preferred.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑player mindset with sound judgment and confidentiality.
• Open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
