About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Public Safety Officer to join its Campus Safety Patrol. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors by enforcing laws and campus policies.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol assigned campus areas to detect and prevent crimes and traffic violations.
- Enforce traffic, criminal, and parking regulations; issue citations as needed.
- Identify safety hazards and report violations.
- Perform security checks of campus buildings and facilities.
- Investigate crimes, accidents, and incident reports occurring on campus.
- Monitor campus surveillance systems and respond to emergencies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification through the Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification Training program (ACA 12‑9‑106) or eligibility to obtain it.
