Private Events Sales Manager (Social)

About the role

The Skirball Cultural Center is looking for a high‑energy, relationship‑driven Social Events Sales Specialist to own the life‑cycle event segment. You will generate at least $350,000 of new social business each year and guide families through the emotional and logistical journey of their milestone celebrations.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve an annual new‑business target of $350,000 by prospecting the social market and networking with wedding planners.
• Manage the end‑to‑end journey for 50+ social events per year, from the first tour to the final guest departure.
• Develop emotive, visual proposals and customized pricing that reflect each family’s vision while maximizing venue revenue.
• Conduct high‑impact site tours that sell the “feel” of the space and address multi‑generational decision makers.
• Maintain 100 % accuracy in Momentus/Ungerboeck CRM, create floor plans in Social Tables, and track contracts and deposits.
• Partner with catering, décor and AV teams to ensure seamless transition from sales to celebration.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of proven success selling weddings or other milestone events in a premium venue or hotel.
• Strong negotiation and emotional‑intelligence skills to influence high‑net‑worth clients.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume pipeline with obsessive attention to detail and data‑entry speed of at least 60 WPM.
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and heavy “social season” periods.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Momentus/Ungerboeck (highly preferred).
• Experience with Social Tables for floor‑plan design.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
