Principal Consultant, Operational Effectiveness

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned freelance Principal Consultant to lead operational effectiveness engagements for mid‑sized organizations (500‑10,000 employees). This part‑time, client‑facing role involves working directly with C‑suite leaders, traveling a few times per month, and delivering high‑impact diagnostics and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead executive sessions and workshops with senior leadership.
• Conduct organizational diagnostics and interview key stakeholders.
• Analyze barriers to performance and develop actionable improvement plans.
• Produce polished decks, reports, and deliverables using the firm’s intellectual property and own observations.
• Facilitate executive readouts and ensure clear communication of complex insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of management consulting or senior advisory experience.
• Deep expertise in operational effectiveness, organizational efficiency, and executive facilitation.
• Proven ability to command a room of C‑suite leaders and think on your feet in live environments.
• Outstanding presentation, facilitation, and high‑level writing skills.
