Senior Payroll Analyst – North America

About the role

Mastercard’s North America Payroll team is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to ensure operational excellence, compliance and employee support across the region. The role involves handling payroll inquiries, improving processes, supporting audits and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver a seamless payroll experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to HR inquiries related to payroll, compensation and benefits within defined Service Level Agreements.
• Address complex payroll issues and proactively implement process improvements.
• Manage special projects of varying complexity.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and HR Field teams to gather information and drive tasks to completion.
• Support high‑level transaction processing and ensure audit compliance through proper workflows.
• Handle confidential data in accordance with Mastercard confidentiality requirements.
• Develop and adapt processes to resolve transaction‑related challenges.
• Contribute to the AskHR knowledge base and create user documentation such as How‑To guides.
• Operate with cultural sensitivity across regions and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in payroll, compliance or audit functions.
• Strong understanding of North American payroll regulations and practices.
