Payroll M&A Integration Manager

About the role

The Payroll M&A Integration Manager leads all payroll‑related activities that accompany acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other strategic business integrations. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures seamless employee transitions and uninterrupted payroll processing throughout the M&A lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary payroll lead for all M&A activities, from due‑diligence to post‑integration stabilization.
• Partner with regional Payroll Operations to define operating model requirements, dependencies and success criteria.
• Coordinate payroll workstreams, ensuring technical implementation with Workday, ADP, Oracle or other providers.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, federal and international payroll regulations and internal controls.
• Develop and update payroll integration playbooks, templates and best‑practice documentation.
• Identify and mitigate payroll‑related risks, and drive continuous improvement for future integrations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of payroll experience with progressive responsibility.
• 3+ years of project, program or M&A integration management experience.
• Deep knowledge of multi‑country payroll operations, compliance and controls.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
